After unveiling the trailer of his upcoming film Ganesh: Dust to Stardust, Ganesh Acharya has another surprise for audiences. The celebrated choreographer, actor and filmmaker has turned lyricist for the first time, penning the inspirational track ‘Kar Mehnat’.
Adding to the excitement, the song has been sung by none other than Sonu Nigam. Built around the powerful message of hard work, determination and perseverance, ‘Kar Mehnat’ celebrates the spirit of never giving up, regardless of the challenges life throws your way. With lyrics that speak to everyday struggles, ambitions and the courage to keep moving forward, the song aims to strike an emotional chord with listeners across generations.
What makes the track particularly special is Ganesh Acharya stepping into a new creative space as a lyricist. Having entertained audiences for decades through his choreography and performances, he now expresses himself through words, while Sonu Nigam’s soulful and powerful vocals bring those emotions to life.
Speaking about writing the song, Ganesh Acharya shares, “‘Kar Mehnat’ is a very special song for me because, for the first time, I have written lyrics for a song in my own film. I have always believed that there is no substitute for hard work. No matter who you are or where you come from, everyone has dreams, and everyone faces challenges. This song is for every person who is working hard to achieve something in life. I believe people will connect with its emotions and message because, in some way, it reflects what we all experience. Having Sonu Nigam lend his voice to my words makes it even more special.”
Sharing his thoughts on the song, Sonu Nigam says, “‘Kar Mehnat’ carries a beautiful and meaningful message. Hard work, patience and perseverance are emotions that everyone can relate to, regardless of their profession or background. What I particularly liked was the sincerity of the lyrics. Ganesh ji has expressed something very simple yet powerful, and I feel that is what will connect with listeners. I am happy to be associated with a song that encourages people to keep believing in themselves and their dreams.”
With its relatable lyrics, uplifting message and Sonu Nigam’s distinctive voice, ‘Kar Mehnat’ promises to be more than just a film song. It is a musical reminder that success may take time, but determination and consistent effort can make a difference.
