Making its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival is the short film Getar Hero starring Shashank Arora. With Getar Hero, the creative team of Teddy Stern and Sneha Mehta, aka Sneddy, reimagine the Western as a story of everyday survival, set in Bombay.
The excellent film follows the journey of a lone cowboy who arrives at a crowded train platform to find his guitar and wallet gone. With his livelihood in jeopardy, he navigates the streets of a city that waits for no one – bargaining, scrambling, all while finding his way as he tries to reach his destination. Chance encounters reveal the risks and rewards of his journey.
In this fabulous conversation with Teddy Stern and Sneha Mehta, full of smiles, laughter, and their passion for this short film, the discussion ranged from bringing Getar Hero to life, working with Shashank Arora, that special, electrifying performance, and what it feels like to have their film premiering in New York. I want to thank Teddy and Sneha for such a fabulous interview. I absolutely loved talking with them and, even more, loved their film.
Getar Hero, starring Shashank Arora, with very special appearances by Rajesh Balwani and Manoj Sharma, is one to watch!
