Aamir Khan has reacted to stories where he supposedly claimed that his upcoming release Dhoom 3 will surpass the box office collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express. Arguably the most anticipated film of 2013, Dhoom 3 also stars Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra and has been produced by Yash Raj Films.
In a statement to the Indian media, Aamir had this to say. “I am not interested in breaking records. I am an artist, and what gives me a high is to entertain my audience, to give them a good time, and to satisfy them emotionally.”
Adding to his comments, Aamir mentioned that he not only wants to challenge himself as an actor, but he also wants to surprise his audience. “I want to earn the love of my audience. That is what I am thirsty for. I like to challenge myself and do work that I have not done. I like to surprise my audience. These are the things that I am interested in.”
Dhoom 3 is scheduled to release in cinemas on 20 December and will also be the first ever Bollywood film to release in IMAX format.
