The two actors, who have been holding a cold war, have finally patched up after almost a decade. Govinda first met Amisha Patel by chance as her gym is close to his house. He complimented her looks and Amisha was very pleasant about it. Later, they met face-to-face again at a suburban five star hotel where Govinda was having lunch with David Dhawan; this time the meeting was warmer when they hugged and sorted things out.
Govinda claims that he has spoken to three directors about casting Amisha as the main lead opposite himself. One of the directors is most probably David Dhawan, Govinda says, “I can’t reveal details. Wait and watch.” Both Govinda & Amisha were supposed to do two films together that include Mahesh Bhatt’s Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar & Yagnesh Shetty’s Yahoo. Jimmy replaced Govinda in Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar, while Yahoo was shelved after Amisha opted out. Govinda adds that Amisha has changed completely. “She has always been a good artiste but now she’s also groomed her personality. She had to work a little harder and she did it. I’m looking forward to working with her. There are rumors about differences between us but it’s all sorted out now.”
After the two have burned the hatchet, they are coming togther in Neeraj Vohra’s (of Phir Hera Pheri, Khiladi 420 fame) next. Govinda states that he is very excited to work with Amisha as he rates her as a fine artiste. On another note, Amisha has also patched up with Shahid Kapoor, who she was supposed to work with in Vikram Bhatt’s Deewane Huye Paagal and another unknown project. This year is full of patch-ups for Amisha… So are we expecting Amisha & Kareena patch-up next year? Well, let’s not raise our hopes too high!
