We gave you a sneak peek yesterday with the posters and now we finally get to see Shahid Kapoor as Haider. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Haider, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, is his take on Hamlet and is the third in his Shakespearean trilogy, which he feels he was destined to make.
Calling Shahid the ‘finest actor in his age group’ the director said in a recent interview, “Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, has some really long monologues and so does Haider. Listening to Shahid deliver those wordy pieces on my headphones I was reminded of Naseer (Naseeruddin Shah) and Pankaj Kapur.”
