Shraddha Kapoor has said that she is glad to be a part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider and considers it to have been a life changing experience for her. “For the first time, I’ve experienced a different world of cinema which Vishal sir has put me in,” said Shraddha to the Indian media. “I was surprised to see myself. Also, the audience wants to see you in different roles. I feel lucky and fortunate to be part of this film. It was a life changing experience for me.”
The 25 year old actress, who catapulted to stardom with Aashiqui 2, will be seen in the new Shakespearean adaptation opposite Shahid Kapoor, Tabu and Irrfan Khan. “In my fifth film, to share screen space with such great actors is unbelievable. I feel fortunate to get this opportunity. It was totally phenomenal. I used to pinch myself every day.”
Shraddha also spoke about her experience of shooting for the film and added that she loved being in Kashmir. “I had gone to Kashmir three-four days before the shooting to understand the dialect of Kashmiri people. I used to go on the sets even when I was not required, just to observe these stalwarts.”
Haider releases in cinemas on 2 October!
