It’s a happy birthday to Deepika Padukone, who is 23 today. The Om Shanti On, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Chandni Chowk to China actress is now firmly established on the road to stardom, but who is it that she looks up to most herself? “Undoubtedly, it’s Aishwarya Rai who has been invigorating my spirits,” she says, “Well, she has been a model right before commencing her career as an actress and these attributes bring us closer together.”
Deepika’s birthday wish of course is to spend it with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. “He was slightly unwell with a bit of fever. But I am sure he will be okay for my birthday,” she says.
After her exciting double-role in Chandni Chowk to China with Akshay Kumar, Deepika will be making a special appearance in Billu Barber, SRK‘s latest project. She will be making her appearance gratis. Isn’t this unusual? “I don’t know why such a big issue is being made of me doing it for free,” she asks, “The fact is I would do anything for SRK free. I owe that much to him. How can I ever forget that he gave me the most rocking debut! SRK is special.”
