Farah Khan’s much anticipated heist film Happy New Year has had an impressive run at the box office during the course of the weekend. The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani, took an impressive RS. 104 Crore at the Indian box office alone, making it one of the highest grossing films in Bollywood history!
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Happy New Year collected RS. 42.62 Crores on Friday, RS. 30.42 crores on Saturday and RS. 31.06 crores on Sunday. In addition, if you include the takings of its Tamil and Telugu versions, the film took a total of RS. 108.86 crores altogether.
No doubt the good news means the Indiawaale gang have something to celebrate about!
