Very recently, the music of Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana was launched. Spearheaded by the leading men of the film, Vivaan Shah and Gurmeet Choudhary, the event was also graced by singers Ankit Tiwari, Sukhwinder Singh and Palak Mucchal. However the focal point of the film, Akshara Haasan (who plays Laali), was missing from the event.
“That was because her uncle Chandrahasan (elder brother of Kamal Haasan) passed away in London. The 82-year-old producer-lawyer was at the residence of his daughter Anu Hasan, when he suffered a cardiac arrest. It was a tragic moment for Akshara due to which she could not make it for the event,” informs our source.
However, as the adage goes, the show must go on, and hence the makers decided to proceed with the event and none of the fun-n-frolic stopped either in the spirit of the film’s celebratory narrative. As for Akshara who was missed at the event, Vivaan and Gurmeet came up with a plan that ensured that she stayed on to be an important part of the evening.
“There was this huge cutout of Akshara that was brought on stage and both Vivaan and Gurmeet decided to woo the character played by the leading lady through it,” an observer comments, “It was all done in good spirits. Since Vivaan plays Akshara’s boyfriend in the film and Gurmeet enacts the part of a man who eventually gets into the ‘mandap’ with the girl, both have some good heartwarming moments to share with her. They decided to replicate it all on stage with a cutout instead and while that brought in some laughs amongst the audience, it also made sure that as a team, Akshara was around Vivaan and Gurmeet.”
One now looks forward to similar fun in the entire length of the film as well which releases all over on 7th April.
Written and directed by Manish Harishankar, the film is produced by TP Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal under the banner Star Entertainment Worldwide Pvt Ltd.
