Music Director, Singer, Actor and Producer Himesh Reshammiya recently appeared on India’s RAWstar as a guest mentor in the absence of Yo Yo Honey Singh.
As previously mentioned, Himesh is one of the only Music Directors who has always nurtured and encouraged new talent and welcomed them into the music industry with open arms.
After receiving a wonderful welcome from the shows host Gauhar Khan, Himesh performed on his most recent chart buster song ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ from Kick.
The viewers at home got to see Himesh’s thoughts about the contestants via a special camera which was located near him. This concept has never been seen before in any reality show.
The contestants that impressed Himesh the most were Akasa, Rituraj and Darshan. Himesh created history on television for the first time ever, by singing a forthcoming song called ‘Your The One For Me’ and asking Akasa to sing each line before telling her that she will be recording this song with him! Needless to say, Akasa was over the moon as this is a very big achievement for a singer who has barely been on the show for one week.
Himesh said he would record a song also with Rituraaj first and then Darshan who he felt was the overall best performer from the show.
Himesh also loved Mohit’s performance of the Breathless song and said he was so happy to be on a show like India’s RAWstar which has such great talent that he is always searching for.
