Following the trajectory of South Indian director bigwigs like Murugadoss, looks like Tamil director Lingusamy has also set eyes on Bollywood. Industry sources reveal that Lingusamy is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of his own Tamil blockbuster Paiyaa and is believed to have roped in Vidyut Jamwal as his leading man.
An insider source reveals, “Lingusamy previously worked with Vidyut in Anjaan, his last Tamil film. The two got along really well and developed a very great equation. Lingusamy always saw Vidyut as a complete star – the looks, the acting a chops and his unparalleled action abilities. So it was only a matter of time before he decided to work with Vidyut again.”
It is believed that Lingusamy recently visited Mumbai to finalise the project with Vidyut and his producer Dhaval Gada. They are also in the process of casting their female lead.
Vidyut could not be reached as he is believed to be traveling out of the country completing his last schedule for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara but his spokesperson confirmed the development without divulging details.
