It’s true, though we don’t know a lot about the upcoming Housefull 5, which is a mystery, it is being reported that the new film in the franchise will be a comedy, as only this franchise can do, with a murder mystery twist.
The film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, along with many other fabulous actors playing incredible characters (suspects?) including Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chunky Pandey, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Chitrangada Singh, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma and Nikitin Dheer.
Housefull 5, as we reported earlier, is set on a cruise ship; Akshay said, “Just another day with this incredible cast. Housefull of actors, one cruise, and endless stories to tell!”
A source recently revealed more, “The film is basically a murder mystery. A murder takes place on the ship, and all the actors present in the film are suspects. Two of the actors play cops, and while they try to find out who the murderer is, the makers promise a lot of laughter and madness.”
And the actors playing the cops? The great Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt!
The Housefull franchise, launched in 2010, has been widely received for its unique blend of comedy and entertainment. The first film had an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Mithun Chakraborty, and Boman Irani. Subsequent sequels were released in 2012, 2016, and 2019, each adding new elements and characters to the storyline, contributing to the franchise’s continued success and popularity.
With the fifth installment coming soon, the makers, Sajid Nadiawala and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment say, “Get ready for the biggest wave full of laughter, madness, and entertainment!”
As fans eagerly await the release of Housefull 5, the film is expected to deliver another unforgettable comedy experience, and, as Akshay Kumar says, FIVE times the entertainment.
