While everyone is overjoyed at the uneblievable business Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns is doing at the box office, one of the principal members of the star cast is far from happy. Arshad Warsi, who plays an important role in the franchise, feels that Shetty gave him a raw deal three times in a row.
“I wasn’t happy with my role in the first Golmaal or Sunday either. Though the first Golmaal was about Ajay, Sharman and Tusshar Kapoor, I was at least part of the main plot. In the second part, I am just walking around with nothing to do. The same is true of Kareena! There’s as little of her as me. This is the third time Rohit has disappointed me. But it is definitely the last time!” explains Warsi to Mumbai Mirror.
He expressed great concern that his role didn’t turn out as it was narrated. In fact, he was told that the Golmaal series would be primarily based on himself and co-star Ajay Devgan, but it seems he got the shortchanged.
However, Warsi agrees that he has learned his lesson and hopes to further his career with his home production.
“Now that I am a producer and my first film, Kaun Bola, is getting ready for release I am not going to allow myself to be taken for a ride. Henceforth, I won’t trust any director blindly,” he explains.
Regardless of Arshad’s screen time, Golmaal Returns continues to rock the box office with collections surpassing the opening of Om Shanti Om and Dhoom 2, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.
