Amitabh Bachchan’s experience of shooting his first Hollywood film The Great Gatsby has apparently been wonderful, as he recalls the memories of the shoot and says that he admires and respects the team of the film.
Big B tweeted on his blog,” As I look back to those moments, I can only have admiration and respect for all those that worked in this magnificent production. The amount of concentrated energy that goes in is quite remarkable.”
He is making a guest appearance in the film as Meyer Wolfsheim, man with a dark past. He helps Leonardo DiCaprio’s character make money when he returns to New York post the First World War.
He also shared his experience of working with his co-actors and tweeted,” These huge stars of the other world, mingling and mixing and assisting one another in an effort that can only reflect well on screen, is a joy to experience. The effort in detail, on getting just the right shot, of seeing that each other’s character and situation worked in accordance with a period film of the time, has been remarkable.”
The Great Gatsby is the book-to-movie adaptation from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s bestseller with the same name. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire as the leads. The film will open the Cannes International Film Festival.
