Deepika Padukone has stated in an interview that her success is not down to luck or by other means, but through hard work and determination. The 27-year-old actress was speaking while promoting her upcoming film Chennai Express, where she will be seen paired for the second time opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Both actors were last seen together in Farah Khan’s blockbuster hit, Om Shanti Om (2007), which was also the film in which Deepika made her Bollywood debut.
“I won’t say I don’t want a RS. 100 crore film. Good numbers make everyone happy. As for the final collections, it is for Rohit, Shah Rukh and UTV to be worried about,” said Deepika. “You do celebrate (success) for a while, but then move on. Of course, I have worked hard to get where I am. It hasn’t happened by chance.”
Both Deepika and Shah Rukh are visiting London this week along with director Rohit Shetty to promote Chennai Express. Stay tuned to BollySpice for full coverage!
