IIFA Rocks presented by Grey Goose saw a host of celebrities walking the green carpet on 24th June, presenting a night of great music, performances and high fashion. The fashion meter was set high with the likes of Sabyasachi, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Vikram Phadnis. All three designers showcased a collection of their respective work at IIFA Rocks presented by Grey Goose, a flagship event on Day 2 of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend.

Sabyasachi, known for his neo-traditional designs has found favour with a host of Indian celebrities including Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee. Walking his exquisite creation down the ramp was the Bengali beauty, Bipasha Basu.

Delhi based designer, Rajesh Pratap Singh is famous for his clean, sharp designs that combine the global and the traditional to create international designs that retain an unambiguous element of India, a tribute to the Grey Goose world. Aussie sensation, Bret Lee walked for Rajesh as did Zayed Khan and Rahul Khanna, who were showstoppers for Rajesh’s collection.

The Gitanjali Group also presented a fashion segment, “Gitanjali Jewels presents Nizam by Vikram Phadnis”, inspired by the rich traditions of Indian royalty and evoking the opulence of a bygone era. Gitanjali Lifestyle was the Associate Sponsor of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend. A beautiful Sonakshi Sinha walked the ramp in an Indian design from the ‘Nizam’ collection. A fourth segment of designs were showcased by The Bay, a chain of 90 department stores across Canada, with actress Neha Dupia as the showstopper. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy performed for all four segments as the designers and their models took to the ramp.

The performances also struck a chord with fans in attendance at the Ricoh Colliseum and the beautiful Dia Mirza took to the floor, as did Jalebi-bai Mallika Sherawat. The highlight of the night also came early with Jermaine Jackson, former Jackson 5 singer, as he sang a medley of his brother Michael Jackson’s hits including “Scream,” “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'” and “Can You Feel It” on the 2nd year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death. Flanked by Indian singing sensation, Sonu Nigam, the audience was enraptured by the soulful, ‘This is It’ performed by the duo, on Michael Jackson.
