The last time we saw the beautiful Ms Urmila Matondkar was in the dismal 2008 flick EMI opposite Sanjay Dutt but this lovely lady is anything but envious of her contemporaries and is enjoying her time away from the grease paint.
“I can’t possibly sign all the movies that come my way. I’m not doing movies now and I don’t feel insecure about it. The more I keep myself away from it, the more I know of what I want to do next. I’m not saying this just for the heck of it. It will show when I sign my next film,” says the vivacious actress when speaking to Times of India.
A proven trendsetter, she has always done things her way. Even after the screen scorcher Rangeela, when others would have ridden the glamour wave, one that Urmila re-wrote the book on, she impressed one and all with her demure act in Satya. But Hindi cinema wasn’t the only place where she met demand. She is one actress that is open to doing films in the south and has done well. She recently returned to Hyderabad after a long time to inaugurate the Diwali collection at Meena Jewellers, designed by close friend Poulomi and was pleasantly surprised by the changes in the city.
