Coming up on January 11th is the highly anticipated Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Not only was the film directed by one of the best, Vishal Bhardwaj, but it also features the new jodi of Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma. Joining in or adding to the comedy madness is Pankaj Kapur, Shabana Azmi and Arya Babbar. Set in the rustic surroundings of a village in Haryana in India, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola is a comedy-drama about Harry Mandola (Pankaj Kapur), a wealthy industrialist who loves his drink, his daughter Bijlee (Anushka) and the unusual bond they both share with Harry’s man friday, Matru (Imran). Much to her father’s delight, Bijlee is all set to marry Baadal (Arya), the son of a powerful politician Chaudhari Devi (Shabana Aami). This alliance which is far from just being a simple union of two young people becomes the seed for a story that brings twists and turns in the lives of Matru, Bijlee and Mandola.
Imran and Anushka have been on a promotional tour and on December 26th they made a stop at the Reliance Digital store in Phoenix Market City, Bangalore. Matru and his Bijlee thrilled the huge crowd of fans at the fun event that included karaoke!
