Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na star Imran Khan has been doing his bit to promote education amongst kids. “I’m not that educated, so I would like to see others get educated,” he said at a rally for the NGO Akansha, which works amongst slum children in Mumbai, “Personally I was not a very good student and I wish I had been better. I wish I had worked harder but the education itself is very important. It gives you a good foundation; it gives you a chance to move ahead in life.”

Like his uncle, Imran likes to associate himself with social causes and recently took part in a production of The Vagina Monologues which speaks out about violence against women.

Imran has also been singing the praises of his co-presenter Ranbir Kapoor at the recent Filmfare awards. “We share a wonderful chemistry in real life,” he says, “We are a hot pair and we enjoy every moment of our friendship. We understand each other very well.” Sounds like Deepika should be getting worried!

Imran is currently filming Delhi Belly, a romantic comedy with Shenaz Treasurywala and Vir Das. There are high hopes for this one as it is an Aamir Khan production. Meanwhile, however, he will be seen next in Luck with Danny Denzongpa and Kamal Hassan’s daughter, the rocking Shruti. This is billed as a tense and action-packed underworld thriller with Imran sporting a toned-up body like Aamir in Ghajini.
