Actor Imran Khan is now stepping behind the camera! Known for his fabulous performances in Jane Tu Ya Jane Na, Delhi Belly, Meri Brother Ki Dulhan, I Hate Luv Storys among others, the actor has always thrilled fans with his performances.
What many may not know is that Imran, from a child always wanted to direct, and in fact studied filmmaking at prestigious New York Film Academy in Los Angles and graduated with a degree in Film Studies-Direction.
When I interviewed him in 2015, I asked him what type of film he would like to make if he did fulfil that directors dream. “While I love action thriller films, it is a genre that I love watching. I very much like it to be tempered with very, very deep emotion as well. A very, very solid human story because really that is what pumps the stakes up. The emotional investment for me is always the strongest thing.”
Now it seems is that he is going to sit in the director’s chair to helm his first project for Dharma 2.0. Imran announced the film on Instagram with this teaser of a clapboard, announcing the title Slingshot!
Fans and the stars are extremely excited to see what he will bring as a director including Ranveer Singh, Dia Mirza and many more.
