Imran Khan must be feeling quite lucky these days. His debut project, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, has got everyone excited and many are looking forward to watching Imran and his co-star Genelia D’Souza lend a certain sense of freshness to the silver screen come early July. But Imran is on a roll!
Soon after JTYJN, his next project titled Kidnap will release. It co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Minissha Lamba and Chak De girl Vidya Malvade. The icing on the cake is that Imran will star opposite legendary actor Kamal Hassan’s daughter, Shruti, in an upcoming film titled Luck. Once again, Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to essay a part in the film.
The film will be directed by Soham Shah who earlier directed Kaal for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, until the two had a rumoured fall-out and Soham ventured elsewhere. On Shruti, he tells Mumbai Mirror, “We wanted to cast a new girl opposite Imran and Shruti seemed perfect for the role. We required a girl who would look innocent as well as convincing while doing the action sequences.” Action? It looks like Shruti won’t be going for a conventional Bollywood debut!
The film begins shooting on July 8th in South Africa and will be shot in one schedule.
