Amisha Patel and Vidya Balan will be seen next in Priyadarshan’s big budget project titled Bhool Bhulaiya. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and also stars Akshay Kumar and Shiney Ahuja. It is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Manichitrathazhu which was also remade in Tamil and Telugu.
Vidya plays the role of a woman with a split personality that was originally played by Shobana in the Malayalam version while Amisha plays the role that was originally played by Vinaya Prasad. The film was one of the biggest blockbusters in the Malayalam industry and was released in 1993. Vinaya played a small but important role in the film while Shobana took the lead. However, Amisha denies that she is playing a secondary role to Vidya. She claims, “No one knows the script of the film. I know Priyadarshan would never waste me. Priyadarshan doesn’t have the typical hero-heroine set-up,” she claims. Well, we certainly hope she is right!
