She is no doubt one of the hottest women in Bollywood today. Subsequent to Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Katrina Kaif’s next release is the much talked about Dhoom 3, where she will be pairing up for the first time opposite Aamir Khan. This makes Katrina one of the lucky few to have worked with the Khans (the other two obviously being Shah Rukh and Salman). In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Katrina spoke about her role as an acrobat in the much anticipated sequel and the intense physical training she had to go through. “Most of my stunts are with straps and hoops suspended form a height and with coordinated choreography. It’s like a dance in the air. To do these, one needs strong shoulders and upper-body strength which, for a girl, is not the most natural thing.”
Speaking about the delay to Dhoom 3 (due to Aamir’s decision to focus on his TV show Satyamev Jayate), as well as Bang Bang (due to Hrithik Roshan’s brain surgery), Katrina gave this response. “Anytime there is a delay in the release, it does hurt a bit. But you have to accept it and understand that, in a career of many years, sometimes, these things do happen. I’ve used some of the time to train for my role (in Dhoom 3), and the rest to enjoy with my family and friends. Usually, I don’t get so much time, so I’ve actually really enjoyed myself this year.”
Finally, Katrina spoke about her upcoming projects and what her fans can expect. “I’m jumping from one set to the other. I’m shooting for Anurag Basu’s film with Ranbir (Kapoor), Phantom with Saif (Ali Khan) and Bang Bang with Hrithikm besides doing promotions. But that’s okay. It happens, and you have to go with the flow.”
You can catch Katrina at a theatre near you when Dhoom 3 releases on 20 December!
