Within a few months of their launch in the USA, The SHIAMAK Dance Academy has received an overwhelming response with their classes in New York and New Jersey, and workshops in Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. The World’s biggest dance academy is now ready to introduce dance enthusiasts in Jacksonville, Florida to their famous Bollywood moves.
The academy has trained the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonakshi Sinha amongst many others. The launch webisode of the academy’s latest web series, My ‘Have Feet Will Dance’ Story, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan states, “Lots of people have different ideas about what a dance school should mean. Many people think that having two left feet means you don’t know how to dance, Shiamak feels if you have feet he will make sure you’re able to use them to dance to a number in rhythm.”

Jacksonville will get a chance to celebrate the festival of colors, Holi, dancing to popular Bollywood music and learning Shiamak’s Bollywood Jazz from his expert faculty. This two day workshop will make these colors come alive through dance, fun and festivities. Senior instructor Bhuvan Sharma, who danced as a soloist with actress Sonakshi Sinha at the IIFA Awards (Tampa Bay, 2014), will be conducting the workshop. With over ten years of experience teaching students across India and UAE, he has also trained Bollywood’s biggest superstar Shah Rukh Khan amongst many others.
This workshop takes the Founder & Artistic Director, Shiamak Davar’s mission to one more destination. ‘It’s amazing to see how well people are embracing different cultures and dances from around the world. Bollywood is a fun and energetic dance style that has become extremely popular. I’m sure the dance enthusiasts in Jacksonville will enjoy this workshop and experience the Indian carnival of colors.’ says Shiamak.
This SHIAMAK Bollywood Workshop in Jacksonville is taking place in association with The Performers Academy and its sister company, MeeMee TV Jax. The Performers Academy is a nonprofit that believes the arts bring the community together and connects people across all cultures. Jatinder Bhan is an Alumni of Asian Academy of Film & Television and has Masters Degree in Business Administration and a certified Project Management Professional. He has been associated with the media and the film industry for a long time, since his school days. He is a passionate film maker and has couple of productions in progress under Leo Film USA & Leo-PR.com banner. He has worked in Mumbai, the hub of Bollywood with multiple production houses and runs a multimedia agency in Canada and in the USA. He currently serves as the President Elect with the Indo-US Chamber of Commerce of NE Florida. His mission is to entertain and spread the message of peace worldwide and bring people together from all walks of life.”
