A spot here, a tweet there and what does one get? Well, if Priyanka Chopra and Jay Sean are concerned then the answer to that question would be music collaboration like no other. It is now common knowledge that our very own Piggy Chops is gearing up for the release of her first album after being signed on to the Universal music label. Her recent dinner date with UK born Sean was also very open and almost comes across as a planned activity now that there are rumours of collaboration between the two.
The duo have been friends for some time and their meeting was sure to make the news after Sean himself revealed on Twitter that her was dining with the former Miss World, “catching up, good food, good company, good times!”. Chopra also tweeted about Sean’s album on the day of release, “If you like music… this one is it”. It should come as no surprise that the two have discussed working together musically.
It has been confirmed that Sean, who has been in India in recent days promoting his “Hit The Lights India Tour section” album, will be writing a few songs for Chopra to be featured on her International debut album. Sean also revealed that he would love to sing on her album too but that nothing has been agreed or touched upon at this stage.
Sean recently made an appearance in X Factor India and performed on stage with the hugely-talented Sonu Niigaam. It has been rumoured that this twosome are also working on some music together. It seems this talent, born and bred in London, is slowly making his mark in the Bollywood arena.
It seems that these types of partnerships are very much going to be the way forward, what with international artistes taking that much more interest in Bollywood talents and aspiring to be a part of what is the world’s largest film industry. Trendsetters they may be but it’s fair to say the alliance of Priyanka Chopra and Jay Sean is definitely sure to be one to look forward to. We wish this Bollywood queen becomes an international ‘shero’ and achieves much success in what will be the first for an Indian celebrity.
