Sidharth Malhotra has made a massive comeback to the box office with his latest theatrical release, The Vvaan: Force of the Forest. Released on 25 September 2026, the eco-supernatural thriller has completely turned his box-office fortunes around after a string of underwhelming theatrical performances like Yodha and Thank God.
The Vvaan: Force of the Forest registered an impressive opening-day collection of ₹9.6 crore in India, making it Malhotra’s biggest opening among his last ten releases. Powered by strong audience pull, the film collected ₹45 crore globally in just its first three days, signaling a highly successful theatrical verdict.
The movie has shown incredible cultural resonance, particularly in Bihar, where it netted a remarkable ₹1 crore on its opening day alone due to its festive Chhath Puja-centric backdrop.
Siddharth Malhotra pushed for seventeen days of additional shoots to perfect the film’s climax and high-octane action sequences, a dedication that has clearly paid off at the ticket windows.
Says Siddharth, “I am just happy to see the film find its audience and love. The Vvaan: Force of the Forest is a new and different world, so saying yes to the film was an easy decision. Everyone worked hard on the film and we’re excited to bring out a story that is inspired by folklore and has dance and entertainment. This film has folklore and it’s inspired by the heartland stories of India. Then the producers TVF have added their own ‘tadka’ and so has Ekta Kapoor , who has produced many fantasy shows.”
Siddharth says the script is the real hero of the film. “Every actor says that their film is different, but our film is genuinely very different and very difficult to even get slotted because there is no past reference to it. Every actor is hungry for new scenes and newer situations; to present himself differently on the big screen, and I give this entire credit to TVF for bringing this original story of folklore and fantasy.”
