Since releasing his new album, Rangeele, in January 2012, Kailash has been on a whirlwind tour around South Asia, performing across several cities in India, Indonesia and Bali.

On March 18th, 2012 Kailash travelled to Dhaka, Bangladesh with his band Kailasa where they performed the rousing anthem ‘Hausla Buland’ (encouragement/high spirits) live at the match between Pakistan and India in the ongoing Asia Cup. Whilst there he got to meet master batsman Sachin Tendulkar after he scored his historic 100th international century against Bangladesh just a couple of days earlier.

“We performed a two-and-a-half minute-long composition called ‘Hausla jaise ho aasman se buland/Hausla ho buland’. It has been penned by Javed Akhtar and composed by Naresh, Paresh and myself,” the singer told The Times of India. Hausla Buland is the story of every individual to stand firm and when you have your ‘Hausla Buland’ nothing is impossible.

Inspired by Sachin’s amazing sporting achievement, Kailash is now penning and composing an exclusive tribute to Sachin in the form of a song.

“I want to compose a number that best describes his personality. It will be an emotional song. When I sang in front of Sachin, it was a new high for me. I’ve often been told that in the last nine years, I have become the real ‘kailash’ (meaning mountain) in the world of music. I would say, Sachin is the real kailash in the world of cricket,” says Kailash.
