Mass media graduate Kajal Agarwal, has impressed with her role in the historical epic Magadheera which has now been running solidly for two months and which also stars hot new action star Ram Charan Teja. She has also bagged the lead role in the hotly anticipated Chandi, a big-budget fantasy epic in the Arundhati mode. The film hit’s the floors in December and Kajal is finally being seen as one of the biggest stars in the South.
The busy Mumbai-born actress is currently working fourteen hours a day on Darling with Prabhas and will soon be seen on screen in Arya 2 with Allu Arjun and Shraddha Das, as well as Om Shanti with Navdeep. She has also signed up for Naan Mahaan Alla opposite Karthi. But the cheerful actress doesn’t mind all the hard work. “I am lucky to have bagged such big budget projects,” she says, “Roles in movies like Magadheera, which is one of the most expensive ones ever made in Tollywood, don’t come your way everyday. When I sign up for a project, I take my work seriously. Whilst shooting, I switch off from everything else in my life. I’m happy with my career graph.”
Kajal also hasn’t finished with Cherry yet. She will team up with her co-star in Magadheera for the film Orange, a romance which will be shot in New Delhi, Australia and Hyderabad and will also star Genelia D’Souza. The name of the movie may change.
