After Anurag Basu turned Kangna Ranaut’s role in Kites into nothing but a special appearance in Kites, Kangna promised to be wearier of the films she signed and the roles she took on. In an interview, she claimed she wouldn’t work with Anurag Basu in the future and even turned down a role he offered her even though the Life in a Metro director is her mentor in the industry. More recently Salman Khan approached the actress to star in his untitled home production to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. However, it seems that all that has changed and Kangna’s presence in the Hindi remake of a Marathi film may not materialize.

Currently, the film is undergoing major scripting changes claims a source. “The script is undergoing some changes. Moreover, a few other members of the cast have also been changed. Salman himself is supervising the details.” In addition, the film is not a priority for Salman right now who is busy with Bigg Boss 4 and his two upcoming films Kick and Bodyguard.

With regards to her role in Salman’s upcoming film, the grapevines scream of Kangna being dropped and Sonakshi Sinha taking her place. Manjrekar, the director of the film claimed, “At the moment, I am not in Mumbai. Why can’t it be that Kangna stars in the film? It’s not Sonakshi, but then, at the end of the day, it is up to Salman to decide and divulge.”

Kangna refused to comment.
