Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year and is still in the hangover of the film’s success, says that she has turned into a fashion conscious girl because of the director.
At the launch of a magazine which featured the 19 year old on the coverpage, Alia said, “I was never fashion conscious until I met Karan. After meeting him, I now care about fashion trends and so much more.”
Alia had recently been to the Marrakech International Film Festival which screened SOTY along with other films, and she said she felt very happy to be there. “I was ecstatic to be able to share the podium with the big stars of our country. It is like a dream that so many people want to live. And this festival was so much fun,” she excitedly added. Her co-stars Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra had also accompanied her there.
Ali also said that the popularity of Bollywood abroad surprised her. “We were shocked to see how aware people are about Bollywood there. Everywhere there were screams, ‘Shah Rukh we love you, Karan we love you’! I mean we obviously know that they are internationally popular but we didn’t know our movies are watched and are loved like that even in Morocco!” she exclaimed.
Alia’s next project is the film adaptation of 2 States, opposite Arjun Kapoor.
