My Name is Khan has broken all sorts of records worldwide. The film, produced by Karan Johar and Gauri Khan, was Johar’s vision and what a vision it was. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol brought My Name is Khan to life, much the same as they did for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. So what’s next for the genius film-maker?
Recently on Twitter, Johar (after much deliberation) confirmed a third season of his very popular chat show Koffee with Karan. However, after some serious cinema in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name is Khan, it seems Johar is going to go all out to give his audiences a softer next film.
Johar has always maintained his necessity for King Khan in his films, “I will never make a film without Shah Rukh. He is the most important part of my life.” Karan is now in London and soon will be on his way to the US to spend some time thinking about his next film. He tweeted, “Will be in touch on holiday turf tweeple… on my way to the airport!!”
Talking about his upcoming venture, Karan is certain that it will not be a “heavy-duty” drama, “I have has enough of heavy-duty filmmaking now. I want to make a fresh, funny film…” Well, if Kal Ho Naa Ho and K3G are anything to go by, the audiences will be in for a treat. Fans should be looking forward to it already!
