Kareena Kapoor describes her forthcoming release, Atul Agnihotri’s Bodyguard, as a “cool flick”.
Even though the film is being shot on a closed set at Mumbai’s Film City, a photo revealing Kareena’s look somehow made its way online. It was apparently posted by a fan who posted it on a Kareena fanclub on Twitter.
Said to be very ‘desi’, Kareena says, “Those who liked me as Geet in Jab We Met (2007) will hopefully be happy with this look.”
Speaking about her co-star, she says, “Oh, Salman’s (Khan) looking really hot. I’m going to be the envy of all the girls.”
Even though the two share a good working relationship, she says, “I’ve always been Lolo’s (sister Karisma Kapoor) younger sister for him. Lolo and he have a special bond and that’s spilled on to me. He’s really protective, a bodyguard even in real life.”
Salman admits that he used to treat Kareena like a kid during the shooting of Main Aur Mrs Khanna (2008). “…and you know what happened to the film. Now I don’t see her that way anymore,” he adds.
Speculations have risen that the photo was deliberately leaked by the film’s unit as part of a publicity campaign. This also happens to be the second time in recent weeks that onset photos of the actress in a forthcoming film have been leaked.
Not so long ago, photos and a video clip Kareena’s item number in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Ra.One was also leaked online.
“Leaking photos and video clips of upcoming movies is a common ploy that Hollywood biggies resort to, to generate buzz for a big film. It’s too early to say if Kareena’s looks in Bodyguard and Ra.One were deliberately posted to create hype but whatever happened does help in generating buzz for both the films,” said a trade analyst.
