Van Heusen India Men’s Week came to an end with Karan Johar and Varun Bahl showcasing their collection that saw Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan take to the catwalk.
Imran Khan opened the fashion show wearing a charcoal black jacket paired with white trousers. Imran then changed into a black-tailored suit as he walked down the catwalk alongside Katrina Kaif who was wearing a sequined blazer.
Director Karan Johar and designer Varun Bahl took inspiration from the French Riviera and Italian fashion for their second collection. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection had an air of sensuality, luxury and high class about it.
The wearable collection, titled Mediterranean Dream, featured a selection of colours going from neutral shades of beige, ivory and grey, to black and charcoal, and then bright summer colours such as oranges, yellows and shades of pink. Denims, structured jackets, white linens and cardigans were also seen on the catwalks.
Layering was also a popular element of the collection that saw printed silk boxer shorts coming out of the mulmul trousers. Keeping with the French Riviera theme, bare-chested models walked down the catwalk wearing floral and geometric printed boxer shorts.
Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif will next be seen in the Yash Raj production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan that is releasing in cinemas on the 9th September 2011.
