Katrina Kaif, whose career shows no sign of flagging in its upwards arc, has signed up with Akshay Kumar once again – this time for De Dhana Dhan, a comedy. “We have had so many hits together why shouldn’t we work together again,” said Akshay. This will be the fifth-time the box-office busting jodi have worked together – Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namastey London, Welcome and of course the super hit Singh is Kinng.

Apart from the super twosome, the film will also star Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia. Katrina has the greatest respect for Akshay and has been very appreciative of his support in the past. “We share a bond. Akshay has been there from when I started out and did not know Hindi, did not know dancing, where the lights and camera were supposed to be, what I was meant to do. Every newcomer should work with him, he helps in every shot, and he lends support and gives confidence.”

Katrina has also picked up a plum role in the shape of Bindu, the gorgeous girl-next-door originally played by Saira Banu, in a remake of the evergreen Padosan. The film will also star Sanjay Dutt.

Katrina will also soon be seen playing the cello in Yuvraj, but she puts to rest any possible rumours that she is playing the instrument herself. “I’ve taken some cello lessons to look convincing holding and strumming on the cello. But I’m not really playing it in the film. I’m not some great musician. But I do have a sense of melody and rhythm. I guess that will see me through this cello-playing role,” she explains.
