A special two-and-a-half-minute promo of Rakesh Roshan’s Kites has been leaked on the internet. It was meant to only appear in theatres on February 12, with the international release of Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan.
The promo shows the love story and a kissing scene between Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan.
Rakesh, the Filmkraft unit and director, Anurag Basu made the promo with an international market in mind. After it was made, it was sent to the Fox Studios office in the USA. The office has since learnt that the promo was leaked on the internet this week.
A source says, “Everyone was in shock and didn’t know how this happened. Rakesh and the entire unit of Reliance Big Pictures were in the process of removing the promos from YouTube as the novelty factor would have worn off by the time My Name is Khan releases.”
Rakesh Roshan and Reliance Big Pictures were unavailable for comment on the matter.
