Following in the footsteps of Deepika Padukone’s invitation to dine with the Japanese Prime Minister, Konkona Sen Sharma was whisked away to Hyderabad House last night to entertain Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
After her success with Wake Up Sid, Konkona is looking forward to Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? The comedy is due to be released next month and also stars Ajay Devgn and Paresh Rawal. “It’s a very lovely film and I am happy that I am working with such talented actors in the film,” she says, “I am playing the character called Munmun, wife of Puneet. We are a happily married couple and suddenly a guest enters our house and doesn’t want to leave. So, the story revolves around this comic scenario.”
Wake Up Sid, meanwhile, will be shown at the Honolulu Academy in Hawaii as part of their Bollywood Film Festival which will run from Jan 23rd to March 2nd. Other films on show include Dil Bole Hadippa, Kaminey, Maqbool, Omkara, and Jodhaa Akbar.
