After one of our predominant directors took the audience by storm in his debut film, (Farhan Akhtar in Rock On!!), it’s another one’s turn to travel down the same lane.
This time around it’s popular film critic and director Kunal Kohli accepting the challenge. After delivering hits like Hum Tum and Fanna and not so hits like Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Mujhse Dosti Karoge, the director is all set to try out a new arena in cinema – acting.
Upon establishing his production house last year the director is now giving a break to his assistance to direct his next production venture. Although sadly for Kunal, the noble task proved harder than he thought because every actor approached for the lead part politely refused the role. From Ranbir Kapoor to Imran Khan to Neil Nitin Mukesh to Akshay Kumar, every actor that is hot property in the film business remains unimpressed by the script.
After loosing all hope and altering various portions of the script, Kunal Kohli decided that it would be none other than himself who’ll take on the role that seems to be working better than a mosquito repellent. Of course all this is still in the speculation stage but nonetheless it is all very intriguing.
With directors moving from behind the camera to the front our actors are sure to be feeling a tad bit intimidated. Only time will tell if Kunal also proves to be a source of the intimidation!
