Actor, content creator and entrepreneur Kusha Kapila is expanding the horizons of digital-first storytelling with her latest venture, Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe, her very first Instagram series.
The upcoming project is set to release soon, bringing together an unlikely pair, Kusha Kapila and veteran powerhouse Sheeba Chaddha for a poignant narrative on human connection, healing, and self-discovery. A Tulsea Original, the series has been created & written by Namrata Wadhwani and directed by Raashi Priya Nahata. It is produced by Tulsea & Versis Entertainment, executive produced by Moonwalk Motion Pictures, with Airbnb on board as location partner.
Before releasing Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe, Kusha worked on the YouTube short film Vyarth. That project explored the struggles of typecasting in the entertainment industry through the story of an underrated actress named Bhumi.
This background in character-driven storytelling anchors the emotional depth she brings to her new Instagram series production. Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe a 14-episode Tulsea Original series pivots around a unique pen-pal relationship that forms between two women navigating emotional turbulences. The plot begins when one woman attempts to dispatch a letter addressed to an old friend, which inadvertently lands in the hands of a tenant currently residing in that house. As the story unfolds, viewers are introduced to the personal conflicts plaguing both protagonists, featuring Anisha (played by Kusha Kapila), a young woman from Mumbai grappling with the emotional aftermath of a broken relationship, alongside Charu (played by Sheeba Chaddha), a widow from Lucknow wrestling with her own private grief and life transitions. Despite their differences, the accidental correspondence bridges their worlds, setting off a journey where they lean on each other to heal, confront their personal baggage, and ultimately find themselves.
Their homes, brought to life in partnership with Airbnb, become as much a part of the story as the letters themselves ~ each space quietly shaping the emotional texture of the two women’s worlds.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, Kusha Kapila shared, “Working on Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe has been a meaningful journey and an important milestone as I explore this storytelling format on Instagram. Collaborating with an actor of Sheeba ji’s caliber is a masterclass in itself; sharing screen space with someone with her expanse of experience and watching her bring authenticity and emotional depth to every single frame has elevated this project. This series is close to our hearts because it explores how two women, caught in the middle of their own chaos, can become anchors for each other. It’s a story about finding your way back to yourself through the most unexpected connections!”
By bringing character-driven, long-form narrative storytelling directly to Instagram, Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe marks an interesting shift in how audiences consume character arcs and intimate drama on social-first platforms.
