In theatres now, is the Aamir Khan starter Laal Singh Chaddha. The Advait Chandan directed film is an Indian adaptation, written by Atul Kulkarni, of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Laal Singh Chaddha also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkinen in pivotal roles.
To celebrate the release and to laud the excellence of the film, the Motion Picture Academy (Oscars) has posted a wonderful new video on its social media platforms celebrating Aamir Khan’s LAAL SINGH CHADDHA and Tom Hanks’ six-time Oscar-winning hit Forrest Gump.

The film opened very well in the US and on Thursday, which was opening day, Laal Singh Chaddha, grossed $315k in North America. That is almost equal to Dangal’s opening day of $328k Which went on to be a huge hit in North Amercia.
This is the biggest opening weekend of 2022 for any Bollywood film in North America beating the $1.1M of Gangubai. Adding in Thursday’s big numbers, the four-day start of $1.79M even beats the $1.62M four-day start of Sooryavanshi from last Diwali.
