The currently single lady seems very excited about her role in the modern Devdas remake that is directed by Sudhir Mishra. Shiney Ahuja will play Devdas while Lara plays the elegant role of Paro. The role of Paro has caught the interest of Miss Dutta immensely and she wants to sink her teeth into playing the role, “Paro is a dark, ambitious, self-destructive character. I’m not that person at all. I’m going to have to do a Duggu (Hrithik Roshan) on everyday,” she revealed. Lara also said that her director is very happy that he finally found his Chandramukhi, that role will be played by Chitrangada Singh of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi fame.
As for her much talked about split with Kelly Dorgi, Lara declares that they have a lot of joint respect towards each other despite the break-up. The single lass claims she is very happy to be left alone at this point of her life regardless of being linked with her co-stars.
Besides her Sudhir Mishra project, Lara has bagged a bunch of interesting projects. She’s got Blue and Ravi Chopra’s Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai in her kitty. The actress has been training a lot for her action-flick Blue and for one sequence in the film she will be scuba diving. She will be sharing screen presence with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt.
As for her comic flick, Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, she will be seen with Govinda for the 3rd time after Bhagam Bhag and Partnerbut this time she will be paired opposite him. The rest of the cast include Tabu, Boman Irani, Rajpal Yadav and Satish Shah. She confirms the film is an adaptation of My Cousin Vinny wherein she will be seen in a completely different role, “This is one of those rare films where the girl actually has something substantial to do. I play Marisa Tomei’s role. But I’ve got a lot more to do than Marisa Tomei had.”
