Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards announce the line up, hosts and partnership with MOBO Awards

The Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards (AMAs) are pleased to announce that some of the world’s biggest names in Asian music will be taking to the stage on Thursday 25th October at Wembley Arena alongside international superstar and Bollywood legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the 10th Anniversary of Asian Music Awards. The show will be hosted by BBC Asian Network’s Tommy Sandhu and BBC 1Xtra’s Sarah-Jane Crawford.

The UK’s defining Urban Bhangra pioneers RDB will thrill audiences with the exclusive world premiere of their new track ‘BIG’. Alongside RDB brothers Manj and Surj, ‘BIG’ will feature some of UK’s biggest musical sensations, for a never before seen collaboration on one definitive track. Talents include Jazzy B, Dr Zeus, PBN, Bups Sagoo, Jassi Sidhu, Balwinder Safri, Apache Indian, H Dhami, DCS, Jaz Dhami, MC JD, Kateyez, DJ Sanj, Raftaar and Badhshah who join forces with RDB brothers Manj and Surj. ‘BIG’ will be available to download via iTunes on Thursday 25th October, following the Premiere at the AMAs.

Speaking about BIG, Surj and Manj say: “BIG is a positive song aimed at all those people who feel that they have accomplished something in life. It can be from the smallest thing to a huge achievement, but this song makes you feel larger than life….simply put, it makes you feel BIG. We are delighted that the World Premiere of ‘BIG’ will take place at this year’s AMAs.”

The crowd at Wembley Arena will also be treated to performances from rising star Arjun who has racked up an incredible 15 million YouTube hits, Mumzy Stranger – winner of last year’s Best Urban Act, British Bollywood-award winner Ash King, British singer / songwriter Shide Boss, X-Factor and YouTube sensation ‘One Pound Fish’, Indian fashion icon and songstress Kanika Kapoor with Bilal Saeed, Malaysian Bhangra stars Goldkartz, the winner of this year’s Nokia Unsigned Award, Amanjot Sangha and international smash hit artist Imran Khan.

This year the renowned MOBO Awards give their support to the AMAs to present the Best Urban Act in association with MOBO, with Metz & Trix, Raxstar, Arjun, Roach Killa and Mumzy Stranger all battling it out for the coveted Award.
