As the anticipation of Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey-starrer, Ginny Weds Sunny heightens, its music partner, Sony Music India drops the first song from its music album. The record label releases ‘LOL’, a fun song composed by Payal Dev, written by Kunaal Vermaa and sung by Payal Dev and Dev Negi.

Planted into the romantic comedy, the song, as the title suggests, is a fun track that is laced with humour and contemporary elements. Music composer Payal Dev created the song keeping in mind the genre of the film and the situation (in the narrative) at which the song erupts.

Sanujeet Bhujabal, Senior Director – Marketing, Sony Music India says, “Ginny Weds Sunny is a feel-good film and music is an integral part of the narrative. By releasing LOL from its music album first, we wanted to set the tone straight and let the listeners and viewers know what they could expect from it. Kudos to Payal, Kunaal and Dev for piecing together such a vibrant composition. We are very excited to present this song to listeners.”

Excited about the release of the song, Payal says, “I had so much fun composing LOL. It has been penned by Kunaal in a way that millennials will find relatable. The best part about having creative control over such compositions is that there are no hard and fast rules to curb you. I was given a very wide canvas and the liberty to make this a fun and feel-good track. I can’t wait to know what listeners think about it.”

Music is an instrumental part of Ginny Weds Sunny. Produced by Vinod Bachchan under Soundrya Production, the upcoming romantic-comedy is about Ginny, who gets set up with Sunny but the match is not that simple and complications arise amid love, life, weddings and music. Produced by Aditya Dev, composed by Payal Dev, sung by her and Dev Negi, penned by Kunaal Vermaa and released by Sony Music India, LOL from Ginny Weds Sunny is available on all audio and video platforms.
