Fans of Netflix’s latest release Best of the Best got the chance to step into what it would take to be a Bollywood star.
In Best of the Best, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia are a step above the rest. Directed by Lena Khan (Flora & Ulysses) and now streaming on Netflix, the film follows best friends Maya (Ramakrishnan) and Anjali (Kedia), who join UCLA’s competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team only to discover that the road to winning a US Championship is far more raucous and cutthroat than they ever imagined.
The class, hosted by Netflix and partnered with the West Coast Dance Theater of North Hollywood, opened its doors to lovers of dance, film, and a chance to learn a new groove.
Taught by BFunk duo Shivani Bhagwan and Chaya Kumar, the class was filled with energy, laughter, and definitely sweat.
Attendees got to show off their moves and were surprised when the class met Tanishq Joshi, who played Vishal in the film.
