Romance is everyone’s guilty pleasure, so when the makers of Tanu Weds Manu decided they wanted to make a film on love and romance, they decided they will make each of their audience feel the movie deep down to their hearts, and what better way than you have a film inspired by real situations.
Jigariyaa directed by Raj Purohit actually boasts of many such instances that will tough the heart.
Purohit says, “I love realistic things, I don’t like contrived situations. Real, actual life inspires me a lot. So we thought of making Jigariyaa based on true events. However I was clear about one thing, though I like realistic cinema, I knew I had to ensure I made my film commercially viable and thus entertaining, for me I believe we have made that blend. Given, our script itself is very different, we are talking about a love story that isn’t like the instant coffee everyone is calls love these days, starts in the morning and ends at night! No ours is more of an eternal love story. The ever-lasting type, I guess that should make all the difference!”
Wave cinemas Ponty Chadha present A Soundarya Production’s, Jigariyaa, directed by Raj Purohit, produced by Raju Chadha & Vinod Bachchan, starring Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia along with Virendar Saxena, K.K. Raina, Navni Parihar, Natasha Rastogi, Vineeta Malik, Deepak Chadha, Ketan Singh, is slated for 10th October 2014 release.
