National award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is back with his next titled Indu Sarkar.
The team of Indu Sarkar unveiled Neil Nitin Mukesh’s look from the film and the uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Gandhi is hard to miss.
Neil Nitin Mukesh states, “This is one of the most challenging going roles I have ever essayed and this project has been very close to my heart. I have put in a lot of research into my character which is quite different form the characters I have essayed previously. ”
The film stars Kirti Kulhari in titular role along with popular bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The film is about a stammering poetess and has the backdrop of emergency imposed during Indira Gandhi government.
Bappi Lahiri has sung a retro song while Mujtaba Aziz Naza has sung the recreated version of Popular Qawwali Chadhta Surat Dheere Dheere composed by Anu Malik.
The film presented by Bharat Shah, produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and Mega Bollywood, is slated to release on 28th July. The trailer will be unveiled on 16th June in Mumbai
