The ruthless world of Bollywood fusion collegiate dance is no joke. As best friends Maya (played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Anjali (Priyanka Kedia) discover in the the upcoming comedy Best of the Best, making it to the top requires blood, sweat, tears, and the sacrifice of one’s hair — all in the name of art
At its core, Best of the Best is a celebration of friendship, sisterhood, and, of course, the dynamic world of Bollywood fusion dance.
Netflix hosted the world premiere of BEST OF THE BEST at the iconic Paris Theater in New York this week. Before the screening, audience members were surprised with a Bollywood-fusion dance performance from internationally acclaimed dance company AATMA Performing Arts!
In attendance were cast members Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Priyanka Kedia, Ankur Rathee, Chaneil Kular, Shreya Navile, Becky Alex, Nico Greetham, Janina Gavankar, Sasha Bhasin, Nihar Duvvuri, Saara Chaudry, Neha Gundubogula, Amryn Khurana, Tanishq Joshi, and Jake Urban, along with Hasan Minhaj, who also served as co-writer and producer, and director Lena Khan. Co-writer/producer Prashanth Venkataramanujam, executive producers Ryan Halprin and Ellen H. Schwartz, and producer Jonathan Eirich were also in attendance. Additional talent included Questlove, Asif Ali, Ronny Chieng, Raaginder, Bhumi Pednekar, and Miku Martine.
