Mallika Sherawat simply can’t contain herself from making the news wherever she goes. The latest stunt to be pulled by the actress will be making her unforgettable to not just audiences in India but also those across the globe. The Murder actress is currently attending the Cannes Film Festival where she’ll be unveiling the promo of her Indo – American film Hissss which is being produced by brother Vikram Lamba. However, it’s not the unveiling of this film that is the reason to draw your attention to Mallika at this star studded event but rather the performance she’ll be doing for the media and audiences prior to the unveiling. The actress is said to be performing a Nag Puja ceremony on May 16th at Hotel Magestic followed by a dance in which she’ll be accompanied by a 15 foot long python. Mallika, who’s known for always being one of the bravest names of the industry, has been working hard for the past four days rehearsing for this event.

Mallika’s look for the evening will be the works of a top designer and her styling will be done by Claus Hjelmbak and Ivvan Bitton who had styled her earlier appearance in Cannes Film Festival when she walked the red carpet for her film The Myth alongside Jackie Chan.

Hissss also stars Irfan Khan and Divya Dutta and is directed by Jennifer Lynch. Mallika is said to play a snake woman aka nagin who seeks revenge from her enemies. One may recall that ‘nagin’ flicks were all the rage in Indian cinema in yester years and in recent times the only film on similar subject that we’ve encountered was Jaani Dusham which was a multistarrer that proved to be quite the disaster at the box office.

Bollywood’s theory of a snake woman has been quite simple in the past. She’s always been depicted as having a magical photographic memory in which she stores the image of her enemy, and with that in mind she never fails to seek revenge from them. Only time will tell if this 21st century Nagin thriller that is said to be quite the unique film takes a new take on the usual Bollywood theory.
