While Akshay Kumar is playing host to Masterchef on television and is an avid cook, his wife, Twinkle is not a cooking fan. In fact on his show Masterchef, he went on to confess that his wife rarely ever enters the kitchen adding, “Cooks hain na ghar pe (there are cooks at home).” But this fact doesn’t bother the actor at all. “She is not interested. I can’t force her because I believe cooking is something you either know or you don’t. And you have to be extremely passionate about it. And she is passionate about interior designing and I am not! So it’s okay,” says Akshay Kumar.
Talking more about his own personal food choices, the actor prefers to cook his own food and has been doing so since the age of 14. In fact, he advises his fans to eat their last meal as early as 7:00 pm to ensure good health. With regards to the show, Akshay claimed, “It will showcase different traditional Hindustani Khaana. The show will provide a platform to acknowledge and encourage the culinary skills of passionate cooks and groom them to become professionals.”
Akshay’s next film is Vipul Shah’s Action Replay with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which is slated for a Diwali release.
