The trailer of the fourth installment of Masti has sent shock waves across the internet. Onliners are asking how something so smutty and family-unfriendly could get across the censor board.
The trailer contains lewd references to the male and female reproductive organs with the three male protagonist played by Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Ritesh Deshmukh indulging in lascivious antics that no civil society or cinema would sanction.
When confronted writer-director Milap Zaveri said, “With great humility and utmost respect to whoever hasn’t enjoyed it, this genre has always gotten such a reaction. But the love and response of the normal audience in cinemas has been way different.”
When asked what he meant by “normal audience”, Zaveri replied, “Those who made Masti and Grand Masti superhits. Those who enjoy this kind of humour. It’s a naughty comedy and not a serious film or Shakespeare. It’s made for the youth and masses and I’m hopeful that they will enjoy it. As a huge section of our audience mainly the target audience has loved the trailer and found it hilarious.”
