Finally, there will now be a Vishal Bhardwaj film, barring his debut film Makdee , which will be U/A. Vishal’s film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board.
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola was recently in trouble with the Censor board due to the word ‘pancho’ that is frequently used by Pankaj Kapur in the film, and the Board felt it was an inappropriate word. However, the final decision on the film was a U/A rating.
Vishal is very happy with the rating and said, “I have always wanted to reach out to a bigger audience and now with a U/A rating I can do the same. I am thankful to the Censor Board. This is a very happy and crazy film so I am sure people will enjoy it.”
Vishal will now be giving out a film with some fun, which is different from his usual dark and serious cinema.
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola stars Anushka Sharma, Imran Khan and Pankaj Kapur. The film is set to release on 11th January and is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj.
